BEFORE YOUR TAN

Q. Do I need to exfoliate before my tanning appointment?

A. Yes, Yes, Yes. You can exfoliate twice,  one day before and the same day of your appointment. Rub yourself gently in a circular motion while showering.

Q. Can I wear make-up during my tanning appointment and shortly thereafter?

A.  No.  I would like you to have no make-up during the spray tan, but if you prefer not to spray your face, that will be fine too.  I recommend waiting 12 hours before washing your face and  taking a shower. Your face will look a glamorous bronze anyway!  You will not need any make-up however you may use lipstick. You may wear full make-up after your first shower if  you desire.

Q. Will my skin look orange?

A. Absolutely Not!  I will apply just enough color to get the result we are looking for.

Q. I have an event coming up and would like to be tan, when should I schedule my appointment?

A. At least 2 days before, the tan will appear darker the next day but will be perfect the 2nd day. For ex. Wedding on Saturday, Schedule tan for the Thursday before.

Q. Can I work out right after tanning? When should I shower? How long should I wait?

 A. No. You should not sweat for 8-12 hours with the regular tanning.

Q. How long will the tanning appointment take?

 A. From 20-30 minutes. There is no rubbing involved with applying the spray tan.

Q. How long does the tan last?

A. From 7-10 days. It fades like a natural tan. Recommend to maintain a longer tan to schedule a follow up application two weeks after 1st tan.

 Q. Am I going to have bronze color when I finish my tanning appointment?

A. Yes. You will have "just walked off the beach" bronze color.

Q. Who will perform the service/spray tan?

A. I will perform the spray tan myself.  You will not leave the room until I make sure you have glamour even color bronze all over.

Aftercare for your Spray Tan

  • Moisturize

Use a spray safe lotion in the morning and evening to keep your tan from fading and make it last longer. Moisturize at least once a day in the summer and twice a day in the winter, and moisturize your whole body, including wrists, ankles, neck, armpits, and in-between breasts.

  • Pat dry

Use a soft, fluffy towel to pat yourself dry instead of rubbing, which can make your tan rub off.

  • Avoid chemicals

Avoid harsh chemicals like chlorine, products containing acids, massages, fashion tape, and bandages, which may strip your tan.

  • Avoid swimming

Chlorine can cause your tan to fade, so avoid swimming, long showers, baths, steam rooms, saunas, or any other activity that exposes your skin to being wet for long periods of time.

  • Wear loose clothing

Tight clothes can rub on the skin and remove pigment before it has a chance to develop, leaving you with tan lines.
